So last night I was on iTunes and I ended up downloading the Nadia Oh album Hot Like Wow. And I think the title is a pretty good fit. Lately I've been getting into the dance/club type scene. I had been planning to cop this for awhile so I knew what I was getting myself into. Some might say the music isn't anything too "original" or "fresh" but I like her style. On a few of the tracks Space Cowboy is featured and of course that is a formula for an enjoyable sound. Though some songs tend to sound like the others, it's definitely not a bad thing. Atleast not for me, I like her vibe so I could listen to as much of it as possible. She sounds like a cross between Lady Gaga and Daft Punk. Only, a little more hip-hop then Gaga, and not as vocal.Nadia considers herself "Ghetto Tech", atleast according to her myspace (http://myspace.com/NadiaOh). The track that suckered me in was Got Your Number, which I think is the standout on the whole album. Some might have recalled it being on a season 1 episode of Gossip Girl. So far I'm a fan of My Egyptian Lover, Hot Male, Rip It Up, and Bounce. She can border on Techno and 80's "Dance Groove" sometimes, but over all I'd say 8 out of 10.
